To receive Fine Hotels & Resorts program (FHR) amenities and rates, reservation must be booked at FHR negotiated rates and room categories through Platinum Card Travel Service from Amex Canada Inc. Payment must be made with an American Express® Card in the Business Platinum Cardmember’s name. Room upgrade based on availability. Limit one amenity per room, per stay. Amenity restrictions vary by hotel, are subject to change, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Business Platinum Card members may book up to three (3) rooms inclusive of FHR rates and amenities and must accompany the party as a guest for which FHR reservations are made. In the event the Business Platinum Card member cancels the reservation(s), FHR rates and amenities will no longer apply to any remaining reservation(s). Back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at a single FHR property are considered one stay.
Upon authorization by the Business Platinum Card member, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the purchase of requested goods or services from a supplier. There is no charge for using the services of Concierge, however the Cardmember will be responsible for paying the supplier for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorize, as well as any other fees or related costs that may apply. Amex Bank of Canada cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee successful fulfillment of Cardmember requests in all instances.
As a charge card, the balance must always be paid in full each month in which no interest charges will apply. The interest free grace period is 28,29, 30 or 31 days from the closing date of the current statement to the closing date of the next statement depending on the number of days in the calendar month in which the closing date occurs. The number of interest free days varies based on a variety of factors, including when charges are posted to your account, whether your account is in good standing, and the closing date of your statement.
No pre-set spending limit on purchases does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including your credit record, account history and personal resources. Proof of resources and security may be required.
Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points will be earned by the Basic Cardmember on the amount of all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest, annual fees, other fees and charges for travellers cheques and foreign currencies are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 Points per redemption. Redemption rates may vary by Eligible Card. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for online services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.

Airport Club Program - The Business Platinum Cardmember must present their Card, government-issued I.D. and same day corresponding airline ticket to club agents. The Name on the ticket must match the name on the Business Platinum Card. Code-share and affiliated lounge agreements may not apply in all cases. The Business Platinum Cardmember must be 18 years of age to enter into the Airport Club Lounge without a parent or guardian where there is no self-service bar. Local age restrictions apply in non-U.S. locations. The Business Platinum Cardmember must be 21 years of age to enter into all Airport Club Lounges where there is a self-service bar. Membership in Fairmont President’s Club Platinum Membership is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which are subject to change without notice. The International Airline Program (the “Program”) offers a complimentary or discounted companion ticket, complimentary upgrade, special class fare or discounted fare on participating airlines to holders of an eligible basic American Express Cards (“Eligible Cards”) as described in this Welcome Brochure or are otherwise identified to you by American Express (“Eligible Cardmember”). Travel Accident Insurance provides automatic coverage of up to $500,000 of Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance when you fully charge your common carrier (plane, train, ship or bus) tickets to your Business Platinum Card. However, your first payment can only be scheduled 3 calendar days after enrolment of the bank account. Although we may credit your American Express account it may not appear on your Online Services summary and may not be cleared through your bank until a subsequent day.
